Throughout the summer, I am going to focus my writing and research on teaching math well. Mostly I will focus on teaching fifth grade math well, but many of the posts will relate to math teaching/learning for elementary school teachers everywhere.
Throughout the summer, I welcome teacher comments and ideas. I hope to use the writing to guide my teaching/learning work in the year ahead as my main goal of the year ahead is to teach all fifth graders math in successful, affirming, and growth-producing ways.
Teach Math Well presents multiple lessons and resources for energizing and empowering your math class. Though many of the lessons are focused on the fifth grade Common Core Standards, all lessons can be modified or enriched to meet the needs of any math students who are ready to learn the topics presented.
